Sport has always been a natural part of my life, which made this assignment even more special. Accompanying the President to the Olympic Games, I experienced the event both as a photographer and a spectator.

In three days, we attended a women’s hockey match between the Czech Republic and Switzerland, opened the Czech Olympic House, visited the Olympic Village, and met several athletes — ending with a gold-winning performance by Czech snowboarder Zuzana Maděrová.

A brief but intense experience of the Olympic atmosphere, both professionally and personally.
